LCCA Team Cyclo Cross Champs 2018/19

For this year’s Team Champs, we will have a new trial format for the Adult team champs and the Support
race on an all new course based at the show ground at Ardingly. It will incorporate a huge
under cover sandy area in the Abergavenny building and visits to two outside sand schools. There is
also a large tarmac section where drafting will be an advantage.

We have decided on a two-race format with race 1 being solely to determine your start grid position
in race 2.

Race 1 – Riders will be allocated numbers 1-4 for their teams. You will be given helmet stickers at
sign on. Riders should then line up in the allocated bay for their number 1-4. This will be a 15-minute
qualifying race that will determine your grid position for race 2 and all riders will start at the same
time. At the end of race 1 riders should follow the course as directed by the marshals back to the
start and line up on the grid in the order you finish race 1. Please do not try to overtake any rider on
the way to the start of race 2, use this short period to recover and plan out race 2.

Race 2 will be a 30 min race, and this will be where the Team Championship and Support race will be
decided.
