18.6 Kinesis UK LDN and SE Cyclocross Rd.6 East Bysshe Cross Country Course 21st October

It’ll be our first time at East Bysshe which is traditionally a horse racing venue,… according to Simon the organiser, it’ll be riders on bicycles rather than riders on horseback as Addiscombe CC brings Round 6 to East Bysshe Cross Country Course on the A22 near Newchapel.

The venue is an equestrian centre with a lengthy cross-country course, a dressage arena and a show jumping arena. Our Cyclo Cross course takes in part of the cross-country route, minus the fences of course. Well, minus most of them anyway!

The course is largely run on grassland, but there is gravel, wood chip, oh, and of course mud. The undulating and winding woodland section should provide a change in pace and style before the charge to the line – after negotiating the “steps” that is. There will be catering on site. Oh and if you plan to use the changing facilities, please note, they are somewhat limited. In fact, we are actually just talking about a wooden hut! Still, a wooden hut is better than nothing.

Don’t forget to send your suggestions in for the Challenge Rider of the Week to stuart.mcghee@evanscycles.com to win a pair of tyres. And if you take any photos please share them with the hashtag #londonxleague on Instagram or Facebook to be in the running for the cyclephotos.co.uk amateur Photo of the Week which will win Balint’s latest album!
